Big Bore is a premium South African brandy from Green Canyon, a distillery in Hoedspruit on the edge of the Limpopo lowveld. Its founders, Blunden and Cohen – two friends with a shared love of the bush and the good life – named it for the classic big-bore rifles of African adventure: Westley Richards doubles, the .500 Nitro Express, the Mauser M98. They brought us in to give the brand its face: identity, logo, and label design.
We went to the gun-maker's bench, not the hunt. The mark sets crossed rifles into baroque scrollwork – the kind of ornament once engraved into the steel of a luxury double rifle – beneath a wordmark cut in beveled gunmetal. Two labels carry the range: black for the 5 Year Old, white for the 100% pot-stilled 10 Year Old, each framed in gold and hand-numbered bottle by bottle. The system we built now speaks for the brand everywhere it shows up – label, web, and social.
A young brand that pours like an heirloom.
Concept. Design. Logo Design. Label Design. Campaign Design.

With the identity in place, we carried it into campaign imagery. One bottle stands in a field of faceted glass, and every panel catches a piece of the brand's world – the Big Five at close range, the gun-maker's scrollwork of the mark itself, the lowveld at sundown with the Land Rover cooling and the fire lit. The product never moves. The world arranges itself around it.
Each execution reads like a print ad from another era – one image, one line, air around both. The kind of page you pause on in a cigar magazine. Then a page begins to move – firelight, drifting cloud, smoke curling through the glass – and the bottle never flinches.
