A promo graphics package for Discovery's The Last Woodsmen, the series following a Pacific Northwest crew harvesting the most valuable timber on Earth. We built the package around an animated 3D logo carved from wood – split, shredded, and blown apart by chainsaws and explosives, sending shards, sawdust, and smoke flying through the frame.
Design. Animation.
In the remote forests of the Pacific Northwest, veteran logger Jared Douglas and his crew operate at the edge of civilization – armed with axes, chainsaws, and the occasional explosive charge, harvesting trees that can fetch up to $70,000 apiece. The work is loud, dangerous, and entirely physical.
We built the promo graphics package to feel the same way. The centerpiece is a 3D logo carved from wood – then put through what the woodsmen put their material through. Chainsaw blades tear across it. Charges go off behind it. The mark splits, splinters, and detonates into a hail of shards, sawdust, debris, and smoke.
The package covers the full on-air cycle – top tags, tune-ins, end pages, animated title cards, and IPM lower thirds – each one a different beat of the same brutal kinetic language. Every element was delivered across the full format spectrum: 16:9 for broadcast, 1:1, 4:5, and 9:16 for social, ensuring the language carried from the on-air spot down to a vertical phone screen without losing its weight.
